HG Wells
In 1907, HG Wells wrote a book called “The War in the Air” in which the German’s start a devastating aerial war that bombs the world back to the stone age. In a preface to the 1941 edition (four years before his death), he said that his epitaph should be “I told you so. You damned fools.”
